Descripción
Valencian Gothic tile, specifically of the type known as “ruedaviento.”
Originates from Manises and dates from the 15th century.
The decoration is in cobalt blue on a white background, a technique common in Valencian Mudéjar and Gothic ceramics.
The design is based on circumferences formed by joining four tiles, creating a stylized central floral motif and ornaments in the quadrants.
These tiles were frequently used to pave floors in palaces, churches, and monasteries during the medieval period.
