Tsuba (hand guard)

The sukashi technique was very common from the Muromachi period (15th century) and continued into the 20th century, especially in decorative or traditionally styled pieces. - Decoration featuring the kamon Sumitate Yotsume (四つ目結):
This emblem is associated with the Takeda clan, particularly Takeda Shingen (1521–1573).
The presence of the kamon does not necessarily indicate ownership by the Takeda clan. In the 19th and 20th centuries, it was common to use famous kamon for prestige or aesthetic purposes.
